Monday Mama Muse – Live an Irresistible Obituary

Since January of this year, I have been part of a coaching group hosted by Patti Digh (founder of 37days.com blog and author of “Life is a Verb: 37 Days to Wake Up, Be Mindful, and Live Intentionally”) and her coaching partner, David Robinson.

They offered the same six month course last year and an extraordinary woman called Celeste Martin Rast was a part of that group.

Last week, Celeste died mid-sentence at the age of 82.  She died doing something she loved in a place she loved with people she loved.

Celeste was a daily muse for those fortunate enough to know her.  She inspired all who knew her by how intensely and passionately she lived her life.

Celeste’s family asked Patti Digh to speak at her funeral.  As part of the coaching course, Celeste wrote her own obituary in which she wrote: “She loved intensely, awakened excited each day to see what was ahead, cared deeply, was engaged fully with the person in her presence, and danced as if no one was looking.”

She left a check for $1,000 in her will to be used for champagne to toast her life.

I’m dedicating today’s Monday Mama Muse to the life of Celeste Martin Rast.  I know that I am going to live my life differently just from the story of Celeste’s extraordinary life.  Please click on the link below to read Patti’s tribute to the inspirational and incomparable Celeste.
